Texas happens to be the battiest state in the country. It is home to 31 of the 47 species of bats found in the United States. Not only does it hold the distinction of having the most kinds of bats, it also boasts the largest urban bat colony at Congress Street Bridge in Austin.

Zilker Metropolitan Park is considered Austin's most-loved park. This 351-acre metropolitan park is home to a variety of recreation opportunities, facilities and special events for individuals and families, including the annual South by Southwest, abbreviated as SXSW, music festival.
